HTTP/2 is a new protocol or we can say it's a new update of HTTP protocol.
HTTP/2 is based on google SPDY protocol For this reason, HTTP/2 decrease latency so as to load internet pages faster, it will also compress data to improve internet speed especially for smart phones in addition, it will fix major problems such as Head-of-line blocking (HOL blocking) in HTTP1 moreover, the HTTP/2 protocol will be for encrypted connections (HTTPS) which will improve security.
This new technology will make internet faster and secure. It will be launched on 2016.
